ACDC’s Thunderous Return Aussie Stadiums Set to Erupt in November and December

Get ready, Australia. The thunder from Down Under is coming home.

Legendary hard rock titans AC/DC have officially announced their long-awaited return to Australian soil for their first national stadium tour in nearly a decade. Kicking off in November 2025 and blazing through to December, the Power Up tour promises an electrifying experience like no other—an event that Aussie rock fans across generations won’t want to miss.

Tour Dates: AC/DC Will Rock the Nation

After conquering Europe and North America, AC/DC will bring their colossal stage show to five of the country’s most iconic stadiums:

  • Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) – November 12
  • Sydney’s Accor Stadium – November 21
  • bp Adelaide 500 Grand Final Concert – November 30
  • Optus Stadium, Perth – December 4
  • Suncorp Stadium, Brisbane – December 14

With these dates already locked in, whispers of additional shows are swirling. The current tour gaps suggest there's potential for encore performances in cities where demand skyrockets. And if past tours are anything to go by, expect a full-blown frenzy—back in 2015 during their Rock or Bust tour, the band moved more than 520,000 tickets in Australia alone.

Ticket Rush: A Virtual Highway to Hell

Here’s the catch—scoring tickets might be harder than getting past the devil at the gates of hell. AC/DC recently sold a jaw-dropping 1.7 million tickets in a single day for the European leg of their tour. That’s not just popular—it’s biblical.

For Aussie fans, the ticket sales kick off on June 26, staggered by city:

  • Sydney – 9am
  • Adelaide – 10am
  • Brisbane – 11am
  • Melbourne & Perth – 1pm

All tickets (excluding Adelaide) are being sold through Ticketek, while Ticketmaster is handling the Adelaide 500 Grand Final show.

In true AC/DC fashion, there are no pre-sales—a rarity in today’s touring world. Their Aussie promoter Christo Van Egmond confirmed this is an intentional move to give all fans a fair go. Tickets are priced from $132.45, including booking fees, making it one of the most accessible major tours of the year.

“They want everyone to have an equal opportunity to get tickets,” said Van Egmond. “AC/DC are extremely fan-focused, always have been. No pre-sales, accessible ticket prices, and an unbelievable show.”

Ticketek has advised fans to avoid using VPNs or IP masking tools, as these can interfere with your ability to queue successfully. They also warn against using multiple devices or browser tabs, which might trigger their bot protection system and boot you from the queue. The Ticketek Lounge will open one hour before the official sale time—so be early, and whatever you do, don’t refresh your browser once in the queue.

Support Act: Amyl and the Sniffers Set to Light the Fuse

As if the night couldn’t get any more Aussie, local punk rock heroes Amyl and the Sniffers have been tapped as the support act. Their gritty energy and wild stage presence make them a perfect fit to warm up the crowd for one of the greatest rock bands of all time.

Angus Still Shreds, Brian Still Roars

Despite the years, AC/DC are still on fire. Frontman Brian Johnson has his full vocal power back, and Angus Young, true to form, is tearing up the stage like it’s 1979.

Promoter Christo Van Egmond, who has seen more than 60 AC/DC shows since he was nine, said this current tour might just be their most electrifying ever.

“They sound unbelievable; Brian sounds incredible, Angus is absolutely shredding it up and they’re on fire at the moment,” he said.

Five Generations of Aussie Fans Ready to Rock

It’s been ten long years since AC/DC last rocked Australian stages, and the fanbase has only grown stronger. Their influence now spans five generations—from baby boomers who’ve followed them since the Bon Scott days, to Gen Z teens belting out "Thunderstruck" at backyard parties.

On top of that, AC/DC draws an enormous international crowd, with fans from Europe, North America, and South America known to follow the band across continents. Expect plenty of foreign accents at the merch stand.

Aussie Summer Concert Season Heats Up

AC/DC isn’t the only mega-act heading Down Under next summer. With Metallica and even a reunited Oasis also rumoured to be touring, summer 2025 is shaping up to be one of the biggest in Australian live music history—truly a Rockember to remember.

Power Up: The Album That Still Shocks

Their latest album, Power Up, debuted at No.1 on release in 2020, making AC/DC the first band to top the Australian charts in five different decades. That’s not just impressive—it’s historic.

And fans can expect plenty of Power Up favourites alongside timeless classics in the setlist.

Tour Setlist Preview: Hits, Deep Cuts, and Firepower

For those wondering what they’ll hear live, here’s a recent setlist from their May 28 show at Huntington Bank Field, Cleveland, Ohio:
